Brand identity

Visual identity for artisans and premium brands

A visual identity is not a logo. It is a system: the logo and its variants, the palette, the typography, the usage rules, and the applications that matter to you, from the label to the shop window.

I draw nothing before the positioning is written and signed off. A logo drawn without strategy is decoration: impossible to judge, therefore impossible to defend.

You receive open source files and brand guidelines that let the brand live without me, with the printer, photographer or developer of your choice.

Two formats with published prices: the Essential Pack for a launch or a first structuring, the Complete Pack when the brand has to hold across packaging, print and social.

Essential Pack

3 to 4 weeks

The foundation. Condensed strategy first: mission, values, positioning, gathered into a brand platform that anchors every decision after it. Then a single creative direction, developed properly rather than three half-sketched: logo with horizontal, icon and monochrome variants, palette with hex, CMYK and Pantone codes, typography selection with licensing. All documented in a ten- to fifteen-page mini guideline and delivered as open source files. This is the pack for a launch or a first structuring: you leave with a coherent, usable brand, without applications you have no use for yet.

  • Condensed brand platform
  • 1 creative direction presented and developed
  • Primary logo + horizontal + icon + monochrome
  • Colour palette (hex, CMYK, Pantone)
  • Typography system + licensing
  • Mini brand guidelines (10 to 15 pages)
  • Source files: AI, SVG, PNG, high-res PDF
  • 2 revision rounds per deliverable

€2,000 incl. tax ≈ $2,300

Complete Pack

5 to 7 weeks

The most complete format on the brand side. Strategy is taken all the way: on top of the foundation come brand personality, tone of voice, customer promise and territory, meaning everything you need to write a post or a product page yourself without hesitating. Three creative directions are presented with moodboards and concepts, you decide, the selected one is developed in full. You receive a twenty- to forty-page reference guideline with prohibited uses, the everyday applications (business card, email signature, reusable social templates) and the physical applications that matter on a crafted product: packaging, labels, print material. After delivery, thirty days of async support and a live handover session are included, so the brand genuinely enters your habits.

  • Everything in the Essential Pack
  • Brand personality and archetype
  • Tone of voice and communication register
  • Customer promise and brand territory
  • 3 creative directions (moodboards + concepts)

How an identity pack runs

(01)

The brief

An in-depth questionnaire, fifteen to thirty minutes at your own pace. No call imposed.

(02)

The strategy

Mission, values, positioning, then depending on the pack, personality, tone of voice and brand territory.

(03)

The design

One creative direction developed in full in the Essential Pack, three directions presented in the Complete Pack.

(04)

The delivery

Guidelines, source files and a recorded walkthrough in a shared folder. Your feedback is written, handled within 48 hours.

Every trade has its codes

Perfumers, chocolatiers, wine merchants, jewellers, ceramicists, leather workers, knifemakers, fine food shops, florists, designer boutiques: every trade has its materials, its codes and its competitors, and a fitting identity starts there. A few case studies: Chocolaterie Vaudin (chocolate maker), Maison Aubert (perfumery), Solane (fine jewellery), Atelier Rives (knifemaking), Maison Béthune (leather goods) and Domaine Lascaze (wine and spirits).

Frequently asked questions

No, deliberately. A logo drawn without positioning is decoration: impossible to judge, therefore impossible to defend. The Essential Pack is the shortest format I work in, because it holds the strategic minimum needed for the logo to mean something.

The audit includes one written revision round. Identity packs include two per deliverable, which covers real cases generously: one substantive round, one adjustment round. Beyond that, an extra round is billed at €250, though I'd rather invest that time upfront in the brief than downstream.

After payment, you receive an in-depth onboarding questionnaire to complete at your own pace, fifteen to thirty minutes depending on the engagement. I then work independently. Each phase closes with deliverables posted to a shared Google Drive folder, alongside a recorded walkthrough explaining the decisions made and the options to settle. Your feedback is written directly in Drive and I process it within 48 hours. No call is imposed, though some packs include a live session where it genuinely adds something.

Yes, on identity packs: 50% at kickoff, 50% on final delivery. The audit and Brand Advisory are paid in one instalment, at launch and at the start of each month respectively.
